Simon Geschwindt plays saxophone, drums, vibraphone and marimba. He played in various bands and for agencies around London in the early 1970s, and in the Netherlands in the late-70s early-80s, where he worked in a song-writing partnership with flautist and pianist, Floor Minnaert (www.floorminnaert.nl) for Polydor in Hilversum. Two of their songs became major hits. He also headed up the Dutch Latin-Rock group The Why on vocals and vibraphone. After a long break raising his five children and pursuing a career in journalism, he now plays and
teaches saxophone and music theory in Johannesburg, South Africa.
